OFA:  Means a dogs hips and/or elbows are certified free of dysplasia, not a title per se.

TT: Temperament Tested   Does not involve any training, just reactions to different situations, including a friendly stranger, an aggressive stranger, walking on different strange surfaces and reactions to loud noises, strange sights.

CGC:  Canine Good Citizen.  Test put on by AKC, but ANY dog may enter.  Tests basic manners and behavior in mildly stressful situations.  Good starter title before obedience training.

HIC:  Herding Instinct Certified.  Means that a dog showed sustained interest when exposed to livestock.  They need no training for this, it is purely a test of the dog's instincts.

Versatility Titles:  There are MANY of these!

AKC has new Versatility titles VCD1, thru VCD5.  Dog must have obedience tracking and both standard and jumpers agility titles. VCD5 I believe, is OTCH, MACH, and CT - pretty high standards, and I dont believe any dog has qualified yet!

Collie Club of America has two levels of Versatility Titles, VA and VX.  They are based on points, 5 pts for a VA and 10 for a VX - 1 pt per level for each sport, but the dog MUST have a herding title, and MUST be at least major pointed in conformation.

American Working Collie Association also gives versatility titles, VC, VCX and VCH (Versatility Certificate, Versatility Certificate Excellent and Versatility Champion).  Also based on points, 5 for VC, 10 for VCX and 15 for VCH.  AWCA awards points for many more activities, soundness, backpacking, therapy work, etc.

Other breeds and clubs also offer their own version of these Versatility awards, virtually none are the same.
